Frasi[modifica]

Citazioni in ordine temporale.

Parte introduttiva[modifica]

(Tomoya)
I hate this town. There's just too many memories here I'd rather forget. Everyday is the same. Go to school, see friends, come home to a place I can't stand... Nothing new ever happens. (I wonder if my life will ever change...)
(Tomoya)
*Sigh* I exhale dejectedly while gazing up at the sky. There stand the school gates. Whose idea was to put a school at the top of a giant slope, anyway? The hill goes on like a never-ending nightmare.
  • Guardo alla mia destra. Una ragazza è lì ferma, proprio vicino a me. (Tomoya)
I look to my right. A girl is standing there, just still at me. I can tell from the color of the school insigna on her uniform that she's also a third-year student. But she isn't someone familiar to me. Her short hair, that comes to just above her shoulders, flutters in the wind.
(Nagisa)
It doesn't matter whether it's old or not. Something that's cute is always cute, regardless of when you look at it.

(Tomoya)
I haven't any idea how harsh a situation Fuko's experiencing, but as long as she stays in this house, loneliness is the one thing she won't feel.
  • Prima ho notato... Senza alcun dubbio. (Tomoya)
Before I notice... all the students in school have started talking about that girl whom no one has even seen. Their speculations about her are heard everywhere. But not a single one of them could be described as unfavorable of her. An innocent girl who always works her hardest, running around the school... that seems to be how she appears in everybody's mind. And at some point... everyone starts waiting. Waiting for the day she opens her eyes. I am no exception. I don't know why, but I seem to like her a lot. Even though we haven't even met. Such a mysterious feeling is rooted inside me. That's why, just like everyone else, I long for that day to come. And that day will come. Without a doubt.

As I look the clerk wrapping the pendant neatly by hand, I imagine myself handing this to her. I wonder if she'll be happy with this. Today, I learned that buying something for someone can be unexpectedly fun.
(Ryou)
A date starts the moment you start waiting.
(Tomoya)
Even so, we've alredy gone to all the places of note around here today. In the end, ther just isn't "anywhere" we can go to. And so we just keep on walking while holding hands. She walks slowly, so as to lengthen the time we have together even by just a little. And I match her footsteps... Time flows by gradually... Even if I close my eyes, I can feel through her warmth that she's next to me. It gives me a sense of comfort and tranquillity that words cannot describe.

(Tomoya)
Not far from me, there is a smile filled with joy and happiness. The possibility that a small opportunity will turn into a huge step forward... My... No. Our journey begins here.

(Ryou)
To tell the truth... I felt a little worried about today... Actually, I told my own fortune this morning... And... I got somewhat bad result. I got a reversed Death for the card that hints at the future... It can stand for failure to change, stagnation, indecision, and misunderstandings... It doesn't sound like something that can be taken positively, right?
(Tomoya)
I haven't yet told Ryou that I like her... Even though we are dating... I haven't once told her how I myself feel. But... how do I actually feel...? The inside of my mouth begins to dry up. My tongue is glued to the roof of my mouth, and although my lips are moving, words do not come out. The unpleasant silence continues. Even my throat begins to dry up, as if it is refusing to give voice to any words. Given the atmosphere, it feels as if I am even hesitating to sigh. I can't look her straight in the eye.
Questi erano i miei pensieri! Odio me stessa!
I am so cruel... I was trying to get the two of you together... I was telling Ryou that she could do it... but in reality, I didn't want it to go well...! I'd hoped that you would turn her down...! I was doing everything with that on my mind! I hate myself...! I act as though I care for others, but in reality I only think for myself... Even though I didn't want myself to be hurt, I wanted others to be hurt... I hate how I am like that!
(Tomoya)
Gradually, the sun hangs lower and lower, stretching out the shadows on the ground. The linoleum flooring of the hallway is also dyed crimson by the sunset. I wonder why red, a color that's supposed to be lively and intense, becomes so melancholic on occasions like this...?
Siamo andati in molti luoghi diversi.
I don't want to forgive you... So please... don't apologize... If you apologize, it makes me want to forgive you. [...] I... really enjoyed the time I spent together with you, Tomoya-kun. We went to many different places. We had lunch together, just the two of us. And you bought me a pendant. We also kissed... You gave me so many memories... If you apologize... and I forgive you... then it makes me feel that the time we spent together was all a lie... They are all very precious memories to me... so please don't apologize.

You really do enjoy making women cry, don't you?

(Tomoyo)
Don't you think it's more feminine to hold at least SOME secrets?
Capisci, Tomoya? [...] Sono cresciuta senza amore. (Tomoyo)
Our household just didn't feel warm at all. They were always cold and apathetic. No matter what happened. Even when I started elementary school, even during sports day, even when I got good grades, even when I got a prize for a drawing for summer vacations homework... They never cared at all. Do you understand, Tomoya? [...] I was raised without any love.
(Tomoya)
Something I couldn't accept had turned into somthing acceptable. I wonder if it is because of this... "family" she often talks about. I wonder if Tomoyo is something like family to me. The entire time, we had been separated. However, we both bore the exact same feelings. Both of us had been born to cold households, with no warmth at all. She truly was a long-lost relative.

(Yoshino)
If there is love, then even lies are the truth.

(Tomoya)
Rather than wait for things to change on their own, you have to take matters into your own hands. Otherwise, things will never change for the better.

Dialoghi[modifica]

Citazioni in ordine temporale.

Parte introduttiva[modifica]

Cosplayer rappresentante Nagisa Furukawa
  • Nagisa: Ti piace questa scuola?
    Tomoya: Huh...? [...]
Nagisa: A me piace veramente tanto. Io...
Tomoya: Devi solo trovare qualcos'altro, proprio così!
    Nagisa: Huh? [...]
[...] Su, andiamo!
– Do you like this school?
– Huh...? [...]
– I really, really like it. But... I know that sooner or later, everything changes. The fun things, the happy things... All of it. Nothing can stay the same forever. [...] Even if things change, will I still be able to enjoy it here? I...
– You just have to find more, that's it
– Huh? [...]
– Then you have to find more things that are fun, more things that make you happy. That's all. That can't be too hard, right? [...]
C'mon, let's go.
    Tomoya: Baguette.
Nagisa: Non capisco cosa vuoi dire.
Nagisa: No, non particolarmente.
– Anpan... [...]
– Baguette.
– I don't really understand what you mean.
– You took the words out of my mouth. I was just going to say that to you. So what, you like anpan or something? Is that it?
– No, not particularly. But it's not as if I hate it. I guess I like it more than I dislike it. [...]
– All right, well, let's get going.
– Okay!
There's a bit of newfound energy in her response. Maybe that was some kind of weird magical spell she cast just now.
    Tomoya: Perché no?
Nagisa: Si sono tutte diplomate. Proprio questa primavera.
Tomoya: Per quanto tempo sei stata assente?
    Nagisa: Nove mesi.
Tomoya: Capisco...
Nagisa: Mi sento come Urashima Taro.[3]
– I had only spent a little bit of time with those girls, and... Well, they aren't at this school any longer. [...]
– Why not?
– Tey all graduated. Just this spring.
– ... How long were you away for?
– Nine months.
– I see...
She must feel like a transer student at a brand new school. Considering the circumstances, how could she not?
– I felt like Urashima Taro.
– Well, eat a Salisbury Steak and cheer up.
– Huh? How'd you know I wanted Salisbury steak for dinner?
– I have a knack...
She had lost everything she loved at this school. So, in the place of all that... She rewarded herself with food as a way to stay motivated and more forward.

Arco di Fuko[modifica]

  • Sunohara [Tomoya è appena rientrato in classe]: Oh, bentornato.
    Tomoya: Huh?
Sunohara: Ragazzi, state dicendo delle cose crudeli!
– Oh, welcome back.
– Huh? You're here?
– Is that any way to greet me? You make it sound like I shouldn't be there.
– Well, you really shouldn't be. You're an eyesore.
– The only thing you accomplish here is producing carbon dioxide, right? Even weeds are better because they produce oxygen.
– You guys say some pretty harsh things!
    Kyou: Un maialino.
    Tomoya: Cacca di maiale?
    Kyou: Ti ammazzo.
Tomoya: Non dirlo sorridendo. È raccapricciante.
– That's my pet.
– You mean this round thing?
– Isn't it cute?
– ...Is it some new breed of dog or raccoon?
– Are your eyes stuffed with marbles? Just why would you think this is a dog or raccon?
– What is it, then?
– It's a piglet.
– Pig shit?
– I'll kill you.
– Don't say that with a smile. It's creepy.
    Tomoya: Non ho sentito niente.
– It seems I was kicked just now. I think I caught a glimpse of something light blue honing in on me along with the bottom of a shoe. I bet that was her panti...
– Erase that from your mind! You heard that?
– Didn't hear a thing.
  • Fuko: Aspetta, strana persona!
    Tomoya: Grazie mille.
Fuko: Non c'è di che. La verità merita di essere detta.
Tomoya [pensando]: E io dovrei fare qualche commento sarcastico adesso, no?
– Please wait, weird person!
– So it was me after all? [...]
– Isn't it obvious? It's not easy to find someone who can match your level of weirdness.
– A person like you wouldn't appear more than once every ten years... And then there are good odds that's not even an exaggeration.
– No, it's totally not an exaggeration.
– Thank you very much.
– Don't mention it. The truth deserves to be told.
And I deserve to make some sarcastic comments here, don't I?
  • Fuko: C'è un'altra strana persona!
Sunohara: Cosa?
– There's another weird person!
– What? Just what's weird about me?
– The color of your hair is impossible.
– We've only just met, and this is how you talk to me.
  • Ragazzo: Fantasmi?
Ragazzo A: Sì, perché vedi, quella ragazza...
– Ghosts?
Two students sitting in front of me are engrossed in absurd gossip, reference books still in hands.
– Yeah, it sounds like people have been seeing a lot of them lately. Especially a female student's ghost.
– For real... ?
It's a stupid conversation, but whether or not I want to hear it, I do.
– There's this guy who knows that student too, and according to him, it's definitely a ghost.
– Are you serious...?
– Yeah... because you see, that girl... was in a traffic accident two years ago. They say she was hospitalized for a while, but in the end, they couldn't save her... She got in the accident right after starting high school... so she still felt an attachment to this place since she wasn't able to have a full high school experience... And that's apparently why she became a ghost that comes here for fun... It's kind of a sad story.
Una stella marina, la passione di Fuko
  • Fuko: Okazaki-san...
– Okazaki-san...
– I'm here...
– Do you remember the dream Fuko told you about?
– Yes... I remember... It's the one in which I was half naked, right...
– Yes... In the dream Okazaki-san was running around really weird, and found Fuko playing alone on the beach and took her hand. "What are you doing all alone? Today is the Starfish Festival!" you said... then you pulled this hand.
– Uh-huh...
– Ever since Okazaki-san appeared every day has been really like a festival. Okazaki-san always takes Fuko to exciting places, every day was... a starfish festival. It was really, really exciting.
– As if swallowed into the noises from the crowd, her voice is getting fainter and fainter
– It's really so...
– And the warmth of her hand...
– ...much fun.
– ...is vanishing... I want to call out her name, but... it's nowhere to be found in my memory... I start crying.
  • Kouko: Okazaki-san...
– Okazaki-san... I feel like Fu-chan is here... Because... this is... something she made herself... her favorite... starfish.
– Yeah...
– "Onee-chan, congratulations"... "Please always be happy," she said to me... Fu-chan said that to me...
– I heard that, too.
– Maybe, in her dream... she's sending her whises to me. And those must have reached me. That's why I must go to her side right away. To tell her how thankful I am. And to let her know that... Yuu-kun and I will... always be by her side... because... as long as we can uphold our happiness... I'm sure she can be happy, too.
– Yes... I'm sure she will.

Arco comune di Kyou e Ryou[modifica]

  • Kyou: Come mai sei in questa classe così presto?
Tomoya: Sono arrivato in orario. Che altro?
    Kyou: Stai scherzando?
– Why are in this classroom so early?
– I got here in time. What else? [...]
–...You're kidding?
– Is it that rare for me to be here in time?
– It's not rare, it's just I would say I have a better chance of seeing a UFO.'
– Then, at least give me a ride to school.
– This bike only seats one.
– If i squeeze in, there will be room for two.
– What? Could it be that... you want to hug me?
– Are you saying it's okay to?
– If you're okay with not being able to eat anything but rice porridge for lunch. Oh, I meant I will break your jaw if you try.'
Tomoya: No, voglio dire... tu realmente credi che noi siamo amici...?
– Hahaha, it's okay. There are some things that are hard to say because we are friends. I don't mind at all. Our firendship isn't so weak that it would turn sour just because of something like this.
– No, I mean... you actually think we're friends...?
– I always thought you were his lackey or something.
– Or an underling, or an errand boy.
– You two really are perfect for each other!
  • Kyou: Allora, cosa farai domani?
Tomoya: Dormirò fino a mezzogiorno. [Kyou sospira] Cosa significa quel sospiro?
    Kyou: Hai detto qualcosa?
    Tomoya: No, niente...
– So what are you doing tomorrow?
– Sleeping in until noon.
– *Sigh*
– What's with the sigh...?
– You have a girlfriend now, you know? So stop spending your holidays by yourself. Hell, stop sleeping in and spending your life like a sloth.
– ...Man, guess it's quite a pain to actually have a girlfriend...
– Did you say something?
– Nope, nothing.

    Tomoya: ... Accorciare cosa...?
Kyou: 1. La tua altezza, 2. La tua capigliatura, 3. La tua aspettativa di vita, 4. Tutto questo. Comunque ti lascerò scegliere quella che preferisci! Il mio consiglio è la 4!
– If you try to pull anything funny that would betray Ryou's expectations... like coming to school late again... I'll shorten it.
– ...Shorten what...?
– 1. Your height, 2. Your hair, 3. Your lifespan, 4. All of the above. In any case, I'll let you pick one you like! My recommendation is 4!

Sunohara: Kyou, a te piace Okazaki, vero?
Kyou: ...Ugh... C-Cosa stai dicendo?
– Kyou, you like Okazaki, don't you?
– ... Ugh... Wh-What are you talking about... I don't really...
– This is just a hunch I have, having watched the two of you. Well, I'll apologize if I am wrong... Since you're not saying anything... guess I'm not wrong, huh?
– I– I... I...
At a loss for words, Kyou's lips are trembling. Unable to come up with an answer... Unsure of where to look... Her only response is an unsettled, uneasy look on her face.
  • Sunohara: Ehi, Okazaki: stai veramente bene insieme a Ryou Fujibayashi?
    Tomoya: ... Huh...?
Come ti sentivi mentre ci stavi guardando?
– Hey Okazaki. Are you really ok with Ryou Fujibayashi?
– ...Huh...?
– Have you been pushing yourself or something to go out wirh Ryou-chan? If you ask me, I think you're far more natural when you're with Kyou. When you were watching us just now, how did you feel? Between serenity and pain, I wonder wich emotion the feeling "love" actually evokes.
[Rivolto a Ryou] Fujibayashi...
    Ryou: Sì?
    Tomoya: Um... sta toccando.
    Ryou: Cosa?
    Tomoya: Um... il tuo seno...
Ryou: Eh... ah!
[rivolto a Ryou] ...Fujibayashi...?
    Ryou: Ah... uh... umm...
Ryou: Io... Io penso che finché usciamo insieme... um... Q-Questo vada bene. [Tomoya riflette su quanto accaduto] Questa fu la cosa piuttosto sorprendente che disse [Ryou riprende a parlare] E-e adesso... um... a-andiamo. [...]
Tomoya [pensando]: Kyou me l'aveva già detto ma... Ryou è sorprendentemente procace.
Fujibayaashi smiles, and grabs my arm even tighter
– Fujibayashi...
– Yes?
– Um... it's touching.
– What is... ?
Um... your breast...
– Eh... ah! Wa... uh... um...
Upon hearing what I said, her face immediately flushes deep red, and for a moment she lets go of my arm. However, she quickly grabs my arm again. Once again, I can feel the soft sensation of her breast pressing against me.
– ...Fujibayashi...?
– Ah... uh... umm... With tears building up in her eyes and her face flushing red, she looks at me.
– I-I think since we're going out... um... th-this is fine. That's quite an amazing thing she just said. A-And so... um... l-let'sgo. [...]
Kyou did mention this before, but... she really is surprisingly busty...
  • Tomoya: Ah... um... come posso dirtelo...?
Tomoya: Come mai?
– Ah... um... well, how should I say this...? Your fortunes are... well...
– Yes, they are often wrong. Well, it is true that it's a shame when they are off, but I think it's better off that way. Rather, I think fortunes are better when they are wrong. [...]
– How come? Don't fortunes only have meaning when they are right?
– That's not true. It' just fortune telling, nothing more. It's only one of the signposts that guide you to the future... or what will happen from now on. So if a fortune comes true, don't you think that feels like there's only one possibility for the future? And that's why fortunes are better when tey are off. I would like to think there are a lot of possibilities on the road ahead of us.
– Say, don't tell me you think you can get out of this one clean? Also, I think there's one other thing you're mistaken about.
– ...What... is it?
– Right now, no matter what you do, you're going to hurt one of them. [...] Didn't I just tell you? That it's best if you look for a way that hurts them the least? Right now, whatever you do, you can't avoid hurting at least one of them. Just so you know, there's no way you can get out of this one completely clean because of that. [...] The longer it takes for you to come up with an answer, the deeper the wound will become.

Misae: Cosa?
– So? How come you know where I keep my coffee beans?
– I've roughly got a grasp on where everything is in this room by now.
– Don't tell me ypu've been searching my room while I'm not here.
– Is it all right if I do so?
– If you really want to know, my underwear's in the second dresser drawer from the top.
– Huh? Really? I find myself looking at the dresser.
– It does look like you haven't done anything, judging by that reaction.
– That's a pretty evil trick... [...] Are they really in the second drawer, though?
– Why don't you check for yourself?
– Can I?
– They're actually in the first drawer. The second one is where I put my socks.
[...] E anche perché sei bella, Misae-san.
Misae: Avrei preferito che me lo avessi detto prima...
– I think that I, the "me of right now", fell in love with the "Misae-san of right now". I like things like how you scold... or how you worry... I even love the fact that you smell nice when you grab my neck. [...] And also because you're beautiful, Misae-san.
– I'd preferred it if you said that first...

– Even a Buddhist master can't win against a surprise attack...
– So in that head of yours, Buddhists are martial artists or something? You really are a dumbass.
– It's just a figure of speech!!
Vero, Okazaki?
Tomoya: Sì, ho sentito tutto chiaramente, ma... [...]
Sunohara [a Tomoyo]: Hai appena detto "Io", giusto?! [...]
– So I'm, like, really sorry for asking, but could you perhaps, like, lend me your razor?
– And why do I have to lend you a razor?
– Yes! She fell for it! You heard it too! Right, Okazaki?
– Yeah, I heard it all right, but... [...]
– You said "I" just now, didn't you?! [...] In other words, it means that you own a razor. And in that case...
– Of course I don't own one. [...] When I said "I", what I meant was, "where do I have any kind of obligation to lend you any of my belongings?" More importantly... [...] Don't you know it's rude to ask that of a lady?! This was self-defense. [...]
– Yup. It was self-defense.
Sunohara: Oh, no!
[Tomoyo prende ripetutamente a calci Sunohara]
Tomoya: È stato per legittima difesa.
    Tomoyo: Sì.
– Oh, no! I forgot the boobs I need for my next class! Tomoyo, please lend me your boobs!
– Why?
– Yes! She fell for it! You asked me "why", which means that you can lend them out, right? That means you can take them off, right?!
– Of course I can't just take them off... [...] More importantly... [...] What the hell class uses breasts?!
– It was in self-defense.
– Yup.
Nagisa: Mi farebbe sentire... veramente triste.
Tomoya: Vero? È quello che provo io adesso. [...]
Nagisa: Va bene... Mi dispiace, penso che sia molto carina. ...Aspetta, uh?
Tomoya [pensando]: Sono scoppiato a ridere.
– Well, Okazaki-san... you're tall, and you're cool, and... you're a wonderful person. But I'm a shy crybaby who isn't even cute.
– Hey, Furukawa...? [...] You know that Big Dango Family you like so much? How would you feel if someone badmouthhed them by saying they weren't cute?
– It would make me feel... very sad?
– Right? That's how I feel right now. [...] There's a girl I like a lot, and her name is is Nagisa Furukawa. Could you please not badmouth her?
– Oh, okay... I'm sorry. I think she's very cute. ...Wait, hm?
– I burst into laughter. Furukawa still doesn't seem to fully understand what I told her.
– I kind of feel like you just said something really embarassing.
– You're just imagining things.

– But why were you so wild back then?
– I didn't really have a reason for being wild. But I do have a reason for not being wild. Anyone going through puberty will go wild if they don'y have a reason not to. That's what I think. Am I wrong?
– This is the first time I've heard about this, but I do feel like there's some truth to it.
– I don't have any confidence in my personality. I'm just one of those so-called "tomboys"... But, to tell the truth... I actually am a bit confident in my appearance.
– Yeah, your breasts are pretty big.
– You really are a leach, aren't you?!
– I'm sure that only you know the pain you feel. If I understood your pain in just the short time I've been with you, I'd probably go become a consuellor or a fortune teller or something.
– Yeah, that's true...
Tomoyo: Buona. Sarebbe buona anche per le altre persone.
– Pumpkin soup's one of the dishes I'm quite good at making. I'm pretty confident with this one, you know. Plus, I'm putting some love into this, just for you. Even if it tastes bad to everyone else, I think for you it'll be absolutly delicious.
Tomoyo pours some on a saucer and tastes it.
– Good. It'd even taste good to other people too.
– Don't you need to give his food?
– Oh, no. Or actually, you know?
– You two're quite funny. You seem like a good match. I think I'll get along with him.

Tomoya: Cosa stai tenendo in mano? [pensando] Indico le forbici, sollecitando una risposta. [...]
Kotomi: Forbici. È uno strumento usato per tagliare carta o stoffa.
    Tomoya: Lo so.
[...] In inglese si pronuncia scissors. In francese, ciseaux. In italiano, forbici. In latino, forfex.
– What's that you're holding? I point at the scissors and press for an answer. [...]
Scissors. It's a tool used to cut paper or cloth.
– I know that.
– The blade is made of stainless steel and the handle is made of plastic.
[...] In english, it's scissors. In French, it's ciseaux. In Italian, it's forbici. In latin, is forfex.
Kotomi: Per niente.
    Tomoya: Sei forse cristiana?
– This isn't exactly a novel, but... It's a best seller in a lot of different countries.
–Isn't it hard to read?
– Not at all. Both kids and adults read it.
– It's really thick...
– There are lots of stories in it. My favorite one is about Noah's Arc.
– I look at the title carefully. It reads "Old Testament".
[...]
– Are you even Christian?
– I also haver the Koran. It's a best seller in a lot of different countries. Oh, I have the Ramayana over here. It's a best seller in a lot of different countries. They're all wonderful.
– It looks like a magic wand...
– What's a magic wand?
– Um... if you wave it while casting a spell, lots of stars shoot out and fairies appear...
    Tomoya: Lasciami in pace.
Kyou: Stai rovinando l'atmosfera.
    Kyou: Hai detto qualcosa?
Tomoya: Deve essere stata la tua immaginazione.
– What are you grimming about?
– Leave me alone.
– I guess you'd be happy to be surrounded by flowers like this.
– Look carefully. The only things I'm surrounded by are your bags.
– You're ruining the mood. When I said "flowers", I meant "girls".
– One of them is covered in sharp thorns.
– Did you say something?
– Must have been your imagination.
Una suonatrice di koto durante un'esibizione
  • Kotomi: Perché il mio nome è Kotomi? [...]
    Padre: Probabilmente Dio, penso. [...]
– Why is my name Kotomi? [...]
– The world is formed by very many tiny harps that are invisible to the naked eye.
Lots of... harps?
Yes. In the language of this country, the word we use is "koto." The world is filled with harps, and each and every one plays a different kind of sound. And they all intertwine in a complex way to form a single melody. That is why this world is so beautiful.
Who is playing the harps? [...]
Probably God, I think. [...]
Where is God?
God is everywhere. We just can't see him. And he's always kindly watching over us.
  • Kotomi: Come suonava il mio violino?
Nagisa: Um... come potrei definirlo...?
– How was my violin playing?
– Um... how do I describe it...? It has a mysterious quality. It's like a fine mixture of glass cracking, blackboard scratching, and forks being drawn across dishes. It's a descructive psychological weapon.
– Thank you for the compliments.

(The Anime Encyclopedia)
  • Primavera.
(Haru. Arifureta gakuen seikatsu kara hajimaru, hito to machi no monogatari.)
(Steins;Gate)
