When you have to tell your defender to go right or left shoulder, that just didn't feel like a big deal. As you grow older, you realise how important communication is in a team sport. It became a really important part of my game because I saw it as a big help. If I can help the team be in better positions... or your defender makes a tackle or blocks a shot, your midfielder has more energy to make a big recovery run because you've given them a big gee up five minutes more, you just see the rewards.
