Riguardo alla scelta di rimanere con lo stesso produttore di The Sickness per l'album Believe, disse in un'intervista rilasciata al magazine Rolling Stone:^[1]

(EN) We're just going according to the old adage "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" rather than uproot ourselves and go some place where we would have to get comfortable all over again and acclimate ourselves to a different producer.		(IT) Stiamo seguendo il vecchio proverbio "Se non è rotto, non aggiustarlo" piuttosto che sradicare noi stessi e andare in qualche posto dove avremmo dovuto metterci a nostro agio nuovamente e ambientarci con un produttore differente.

La causa della separazione della band dal bassista Steve Kmak venne spiegata in un'intervista rilasciata a MTV dopo un mese di silenzio:^[2]

(EN) I don't want to drag anyone through the mud, there were just personality conflicts. It wasn't a relationship that could continue anymore, and we had to go our separate ways. When you're in a band, chemistry is very important. But we wish him all the best.		(IT) Non voglio trascinare nessuno nel fango, ci sono state solo conflitti di personalità. Non era una relazione che poteva ancora continuare e così abbiamo dovuto separarci. Quando sei in una band, la chimica di gruppo è molto importante. Comunque gli auguriamo tutto il meglio.

We’re not a religious band. It is more of a spiritual symbol. We wanted to take the four religious symbols and intertwine them and mesh them together to symbolize unity. (citato in MK Magazine Interviews: Disturbed, MK Magazine, 1 novembre 2003)
