Vent'anni fa ho pensato: "Qual è la differenza tra mangiare una bistecca al sangue e uccidere il mio cane, tagliarlo e arrostirlo?" Ho sempre amato gli animali ma è stato verso la fine degli anni '80 che ho capito di dover diventare vegetariana. Nella mia vita molte cose convergevano – musicalmente, emotivamente – ma è stato soprattutto il mio amore per gli animali e il passare così tanto tempo in tour che mi ha fatto decidere che dovevo cambiare la mia dieta. Nelle Runaways eravamo solite mangiare un sacco di cibo spazzatura. Così qualcosa doveva cambiare.

I've always loved animals but it was around the late 80s that I realised I had to go vegetarian. A lot of things converged in my life then – musically, emotionally – but mainly it was my love of animals and spending so much time touring that made me decide I had to change my diet.
