Gheraṇḍa Saṃhitā (XVI sec. ca.), testo dell'induismo.
- Seduto in un posto, lo yogin dovrebbe assumere la posizione del loto. Quindi dovrebbe porre nel proprio cuore il guru, e come da lui appreso, cominciare con la purificazione dei canali servendosi del controllo della respirazione. (V.38)
- Seated on a seat, the yogin should assume the lotus posture. Next he should place the guru, etc. [in his heart], as instructed by the guru, and commence with the purification of the channels for purification through breath control.[1]
